3. Surcharge Rules Explained

• Boundary Surcharge (Out-of-City):

  • Incheon Airport is a joint operation zone for taxis from Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi (Bucheon, Gwangmyeong, Gimpo, and Goyang only).

  • No boundary surcharge is added when traveling from the airport to these 6 regions.

  • For other destinations (e.g., Paju), an out-of-city surcharge (20%–30%) applies as soon as the taxi exits the joint operation boundary.

• Night Surcharge:

• A late-night surcharge ranging from 20% to 40% automatically applies between 22:00 and 04:00, depending on the time window and taxi company.
